Blogging Year in Review: 2023

In the year 2023, I faced many challenges to my blogging goals (some of which I brought on myself, such as adding another blog to the roster), but I nevertheless exceeded last year's grand total by 26 articles for a grander total of 152 articles. Compared to the previous year, Applied Phantasticality increased by 27, Theoretical Swashbuckling decreased by six, Decidedly Six-Sided increased by three, Savage Arts & Sciences decreased by five, Creative Reckoning decreased by two, and Omnia Pro Omnibus began its first year with nine. I produced no RPG zines for the third year in a row despite my misguided intentions, and so I add another graffito to the Great Stone of Challenge:

In 2024, I, Gordon A. Cooper, will post a minimum of one article per gaming blog per month for a minimum total of six articles per month. In addition, it is not beyond the realm of possibility I might create and publish one or more RPG zines. (Maybe?)

Blogging Month in Review: November 2023

November's blogging was a respectable if unexciting recovery from October's deficit: one article per blog. If I can regain some consistency in my schedule and income, my blogging productivity will improve. Fingers crossed.

Blogging Month in Review: October 2023

And October's tally is even more disappointing than September's. The one article I posted for Savage Arts & Sciences is little more than a link to someone else's article. Maybe I'll do better before the end of the year, but it will be a challenge. I would like to increase my blogging output, and I would love to resume gaming (of the role-playing variety in particular), but I cannot accurately predict when either will be possible. Meanwhile, if anyone has any leads on writing, editing, or proofreading jobs that involve remuneration, please keep me in mind.

Blogging Month in Review: September 2023

September's tally was certainly a far cry from August's. Time is scarcer owing to the exigencies of survival at these space time coordinates, and my blogging has consequently lapsed. This is the lowest blog output of 2023, and I delayed posting the Blogging Month in Review because I've been working long hours and have had no energy to spare until now.

Technically speaking, I've reached my yearly goal for all of my gaming blogs except Creative Reckoning (which is one article away from the magic number of 12) and Omnia Pro Omnibus (which I didn't start until April, but it's keeping the monthly pace). I am disappointed, but not deterred. October is another month... in progress... because I'm posting this Blogging Month in Review late.

Blogging Month in Review: August 2023

Thanks to another RPGaDay challenge and my decision to post my answers daily instead of combining them into a single post at the end of the month (a decision made easier by the self-destruction of a social media platform that shall remain nameless), August was a stupendously productive month. I regret abandoning the daily answer format after 2017, and part of me wants to retroactively restore that format for the other years I participated in RPGaDay. It's something to consider if I get bored.
