Blogging Month in Review: February 2026

This has been a particularly productive blogging month, and the most productive February ever, thanks to my participation in Adam Dickstein's Barking Alien's RPG Campaign Tour Challenge 2026. My contribution wasn't as deep as I would have liked because I was using a campaign that hasn't started yet, but it motivated me to develop the setting more, which will make it a richer experience. The questions served as good creativity prompts, which is my favorite way to use blogging challenges. Thank you, Adam!

Here's the unprecedented February tally:

  1. Applied Phantasticality: 30 articles
  2. Decidedly Six-Sided: 7 articles
  3. Savage Arts & Sciences: 2 articles
  4. Creative Reckoning: 1 article
  5. Theoretical Swashbuckling: 1 article
  6. Omnia Pro Omnibus: 1 article

Grand Total: 42 articles

Blogging Status Report: Mid-February 2026

Despite my prediction, I've had a roaring start into 2026 bloggingwise, and this February may be the most productive February I've had since 2013. This is mostly because I am participating in Barking Alien's RPG Campaign Tour Challenge. I intended to participate with two of my blogs, Applied Phantasticality and Decidedly 6-Sided, but that proved a wee bit too challenging. I am following through with the former and my Zem of Null campaign for Mutant Crawl Classics RPG, and while I wasn't able to use my Ghostbusters campaign for the latter, I was inspired to post a new series of articles about using the Ghostbusters rules to create a quick and easy D6 Star Trek role-playing game: Star Trek via Ghostbusters.

I encourage everyone to read Barking Alien's RPG Campaign Tour Challenge 2026, especially if, like me, you have a soft spot for Original Star Trek.

Blogging Month in Review: January 2026

At the end of December, I had serious doubts that I would fulfill my nonbinding blogging quota in January or any other month in the unforeseeable future. Amazingly, I not only fulfilled the quota, I exceeded it by more than double the required number of articles (although one of the articles was cross-posted in two blogs). Somehow, I wrote something for each of my six gaming blogs. And I shared it. Has anyone read it? Who knows? Someday, perhaps someone will.

  1. Applied Phantasticality: 4 articles
  2. Savage Arts & Sciences: 3 articles
  3. Decidedly Six-Sided: 2 articles
  4. Omnia Pro Omnibus: 2 articles
  5. Theoretical Swashbuckling: 2 articles
  6. Creative Reckoning: 1 article

Grand Total: 14 articles
